When I was CFO of a data-centric start-up, I was shocked by a set of high cloud computing bills. At the depths of our troubles, one analyst ran up $8000 in data transfer fees in a single weekend…just because she left a window open on her browser.

Looking for help, I found great tools designed for experts….which I wasn’t. My fallback were services with confusing bills and focused on only a small part of my cloud spend. That is why Bert and I founded Authors of Boston. We help companies quickly and easily get the security they want, using lines of credit backed by insurance.

Bert and I have worked for years developing financial tools around complex risks, including natural disasters. Now we’re excited to offer those skills to the compute-heavy companies driving innovation across the world.

Cofounder & President

I have personally navigated the extensive computing demands of today’s data-intensive solutions, ranging from developing speech recognition models to managing large portfolios of catastrophe risk. This diverse experience has given me firsthand insight into the challenges companies face when creating these advanced technologies.

Most recently, I served as the Head of Portfolio Management at a major hedge fund managing over $10 billion in assets. During my time there, Grant and I leveraged our expertise in assessing complex risks to craft innovative financial strategies that benefited investors and counterparties alike.

Together, Grant and I are eager to leverage our skills to evolve the way companies manage their cloud usage. This will enable them to concentrate more effectively on addressing the core business challenges they face.
